What happens between the orchard and the finished carton? A CCTV-13 report broadcast on 7 September 2025 followed Huili pomegranates into a grading facility in Pujiang, Sichuan. General Manager Tang Ting explained how the line assessed appearance, internal quality and weight.
The report showed why these checks answer different questions. A fruit can look attractive on the outside while still requiring an internal-quality check. Weight grading then separates the fruit into packing categories. Together, the stages provide a closer view of the work behind a carton of fresh pomegranates.
